DMCA Policy
1. Introduction
We respect copyright and take infringement seriously. This page explains how to report it, what we do when we receive a notice, and what you can do if you think your content was removed by mistake.
The DMCA is a U.S. law that sets out how online platforms must handle copyright claims. We follow it and other applicable copyright laws. When we get a valid DMCA notice, we remove or disable access to the content in question and, where relevant, notify the user who posted it. If you're a copyright owner (or their rep), you can use the process below to report infringement. If your content was taken down and you believe it was an error, you can send a counter-notice—we explain that here too.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you think your copyrighted work is being used on our site without permission, send us a DMCA notice with the following:
What we need in a DMCA notice:
- What was infringed: Describe the copyrighted work (title, author, registration number if you have one).
- Where it appears: Tell us where the infringing material is on our site—the URL or page.
- Your contact info: Name, address, phone, and email.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you believe the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement that the info in your notice is accurate and that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
⚠️ Important
False claims: Filing a DMCA notice you know is false can lead to serious consequences—damages, attorney's fees, and even perjury. Only send a notice if your claim is valid, you own or represent the copyright owner, and you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized.
Fair use: Some uses of copyrighted material are allowed (e.g. criticism, teaching, news). If you're not sure whether something counts as infringement, it's worth checking with a lawyer before sending a notice.
3. How to Submit a DMCA Notice
Please send your DMCA notice to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent Contact Information:
Email: [email protected]
Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice
Response Time: We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 24-48 hours
You can send a physical notice to our address too, but email is faster.
4. Our Response to DMCA Notices
When we receive a valid DMCA notice that has everything we need, we:
- Remove or disable access to the content, usually within 24–48 hours
- Notify the user who posted or is responsible for the content and give them a copy of the notice
- Tell them they can send a counter-notice if they believe the removal was wrong
- Keep records of notices and actions for our repeat-infringer policy and for legal compliance
If a notice is missing something, we may ask for more information before we act. We don't decide who owns the copyright or whether something is fair use—we follow the DMCA process and remove content when we get a valid notice, and we handle counter-notices as the law provides.
5. Counter-Notice Process
If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
What we need in a counter-notice:
- What was removed: Describe the content that was taken down and where it was before removal.
- Good faith statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed by mistake.
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the federal court in your district.
- Your contact info: Name, address, phone, and email.
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will:
- Forward the counter-notice to the original complainant
- Restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the complainant files a court action
- Notify both parties of our actions
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
We terminate accounts when users are repeat copyright infringers—that's required under the DMCA and it's how we protect creators. We keep records of notices and actions. When we decide whether to terminate, we look at things like how many valid notices we've had, how serious the infringement is, whether the user corrected the issue, and whether it looks like a mistake or intentional. We usually give warnings first except in clear or serious cases. If your account is terminated for repeat infringement, don't create a new one without our permission; trying to get around a ban can lead to further action.
7. Third-Party Content
Some content on our site comes from third parties (e.g. game developers). We still handle DMCA notices the same way. If your work is on our site without your permission, use the process above to send a notice.
8. Fair Use Considerations
Sometimes using a bit of someone else's work is allowed (e.g. for criticism, teaching, or news). When we look at DMCA notices, we keep in mind things like:
- The purpose and character of the use
- The nature of the copyrighted work
- The amount and substantiality of the portion used
- The effect on the potential market for the original work
9. International Copyright Laws
Our process follows U.S. law (DMCA), but we take copyright seriously everywhere. If you're in another country and your work was used here without permission, send us the same kind of info we ask for in a DMCA notice—what's yours, where it appears on our site, and that you own it or act for the owner.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may change this policy when the law, best practice, or our process changes. When we do, we'll put the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Big changes (e.g. to how long we take to respond or what we ask for in a notice) we'll call out clearly.
If you keep using the site after we post changes, that means you're okay with the new policy. If you're not, you can stop using our services or get in touch—we're happy to answer questions at [email protected].
